Setting Up Your Payroll

This course is an introduction to setting up your payroll systems using HMRC’s Employers’ cd-rom. 

This course is suitable for anyone who is planning to pay staff and needs to know how to operate PAYE.  It is also suitable as a refresher course.

By the end of this course you will gain the knowledge and guidance to enable you to:

  • Complete the relevant forms when you take on an employee
  • Calculate and record tax, National Insurance contributions (NICs) and Student Loan Deductions using the cd-rom
  • Register your business for PAYE Online for Employers and use the service
  • Calculate and pay over deductions to HMRC Accounts Office
